# How to Apply for a ChatBlue Account Section: ChatBlue. Updated 2026-04-15. Page: https://help.fansmetric.com/chatblue/how-to-apply-for-a-chatblue-account The application process has 3 steps: entering your account details, confirming age & policy, and completing KYC & personal details. Here's how to get started: > [!NOTE] > ### Before you start, have the following ready: > > - A display name and username for the creator's profile > - A profile photo (optional but recommended) > > #### After submitting, you'll also need: > > - The creator to complete KYC (ID + selfie) - you'll send them a link > - The creator's legal name, date of birth, and residential address ## **Apply for ChatBlue Account** 1. Log in to FansMetric 2. Switch to ChatBlue using the toggle in the top-left corner 3. Go to the Accounts page in the left navigation menu 4. Click "Apply for ChatBlue Account"  ## **Step 1: Enter Account Details** #### Personal Information - **Display Name** - The full name fans will see. This does not need to be a legal name; your real legal name will be collected later for verification. - **Username** - Letters and numbers only. Must be at least 3 characters. \ This will be seen in the url, i.e. **`linkthis.co/username`** - **Profile Photo** (optional) - Shown on your public unlock, tip, and sell-number pages. If you skip this, your initials will be displayed instead.  #### Choose a Phone Number You have two options (US and UK numbers available): - ***Select from Available Numbers (Instant)***: Pick a ready-to-use number from the available list. You'll see the location and area code for each number. Ready as soon as your application is approved. - ***Request a Custom City (3-5 day wait)***: Enter the name of a specific US city (or just write ***UK*** for a UK number) and we'll find a number with a matching area code. Takes approximately 3-5 days to prepare. If an Available Number isn't available, just Request a Custom City and we'll assign one as soon as possible.  #### Location & Verification - **Country of Legal Residence** - Select the creator's country from the dropdown - **Social Media Profile (optional)** - Provide an Instagram, Twitter, or other social media URL for verification purposes  Click ***Next*** to continue. ## **Step 2: Age & Policy Confirmation** - **Age Verification** - Check the box confirming that you (or the creator) are at least 18 years old and have reached the age of majority in your place of legal residence. - **Privacy & Verification Policy** - Read through the policy covering data collection, verification process, data security, and retention. Check the box confirming you agree. Both checkboxes must be checked to continue. Click Next.  ## **Step 3: Review & Submit** Review your application summary: - Display name, username, and profile photo - Country of residence - Phone number selection (available number or custom city request) - Social media profile (if provided) - Age verification and policy acceptance confirmed If everything looks correct, click "Submit Application". ## **Completing Identity Verification (KYC)** After submitting, the creator needs to verify their identity: On the Verification Status page, click ***Complete Identity Verification*** or copy the KYC link and send it to the creator for them to complete. - The creator verifies using their government-issued ID and a selfie - Verification is securely processed by our third-party partner *Tip: Copy the KYC link and send it to the creator so they can complete verification on their own device, at any time.*  ### **Providing Additional Details** While the creator completes KYC, you'll also need to provide their personal details: - **Legal First Name** - As shown on their government ID - **Legal Last Name** - As shown on their government ID - **Personal Email** - Creator's personal contact email - **Residential Address** - Full address including street, city, state/province, and postal code - **Date of Birth** - Must confirm the creator is 18+ Click ***Save Details*** once complete.  ### **Application Status** Check your status anytime on the Verification Status page: - **Complete Verification & Details** - KYC and/or additional details still need to be completed - **Complete Additional Details** - Additional details still needs to be completed - **Awaiting Review** - Everything submitted, our team is reviewing - **Approved** - ChatBlue account is active and ready to use
