How to complete FaceID 2FA verification for creators

This guide walks you through FaceID 2FA verification process for linking or relinking creator accounts.

Why is FaceID Required?

OnlyFans mandates FaceID or selfie-based 2FA to maintain account security. It cannot be bypassed and must be completed through the FansMetric Auth+ app for successful account linking.

Who This Is For

The creator the person whose face matches the account completes verification on their own iPhone, usually while an account manager sets up or re-connects the account in FansMetric.

Step 1: Start the Linking Process

  1. In the FansMetric app, go to Accounts

  2. Click "Link a new Account"

  3. Select OnlyFans (2FA)

Step 2: Get the Pairing QR Code

A "Link on Mobile" window appears with everything the creator needs to connect:

  • A QR code to scan

  • A shareable link ("Share the link")

  • A short code (for example, BM-KWYDQUP2) to enter manually

Note: The pairing expires in ~24 hours. Click "Regenerate" any time you need a fresh code.

Step 3: Download and Set Up FansMetric Auth+

To complete verification, the creator must install FansMetric Auth+ on their iOS device. While in beta, it is distributed through Apple's TestFlight app.

How to Download TestFlight

  1. Tell the creator to open the App Store on their iPhone

  2. Search for TestFlight or open the link https://testflight.apple.com/join/hTgVSx6A and download the app

  3. TestFlight must be installed before they can download FansMetric Auth+

Download FansMetric Auth+ via TestFlight

  1. Ask the creator to open the invite link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/hTgVSx6A

  2. This opens TestFlight and prompts them to install FansMetric Auth+

  3. Once installed, tap "Open" to launch the app

Step 4: Connect on the Phone

  1. In FansMetric Auth+, on the "Scan to connect" screen, tap "Scan QR" and scan the code from Step 2

  2. Or type the short code into the XX-XXXXXXXX field and tap "Next"

Step 5: Sign In to OnlyFans and Complete FaceID

Please note: the creator is required to complete this step.

  1. On the OnlyFans login screen inside the app, sign in to OnlyFans (username, password, and any SMS or authenticator code)

  2. When OnlyFans shows the FaceID / face recognition prompt, follow the on-screen prompts to complete face authentication

  3. Hold the device at eye level in good lighting, with the face centered and unobstructed

Step 6: Connect to FansMetric

Once verification passes, tap "Connect to FansMetric". You'll see "Account connected successfully," and the account appears in your web app.

If Verification Fails

  • Retry in brighter, even lighting, with the face centered and unobstructed (no hat or sunglasses)

  • Complete the flow in one continuous session don't switch apps midway

  • Generate a fresh pairing in the app (pairings expire after 24 hours) and start again

A: No, it is a mandatory requirement enforced by OnlyFans. Coordinate with the creator via live communication to ensure a smooth process.

Q: Does the creator need to download TestFlight to complete this?
A: Yes. FaceID must run on the creator's own phone, so the creator installs FansMetric Auth+ via TestFlight. It's a one-time install — after that, the account stays connected in FansMetric.
