Mass Messages let you send a message to multiple fans at once — perfect for promotions, announcements, or driving engagement with paid content. This guide walks you through creating, targeting, and tracking mass message campaigns.
Go to Mass Messages in the left navigation menu. You'll see a history of all your campaigns with their status, delivery stats, and details.
Creating a Mass Message
1. Click "New Mass Message"
2. You'll see a form on the left and a live chat preview on the right
Type your message in the text field and use the emoji picker to add emojis. To attach free media, select a media item from your Vault — it will be sent as a regular attachment that fans can view immediately.
You can attach media in two ways:
Free Media
To attach free media, select a media item from your Vault — it will be sent as a regular attachment that fans can view immediately.
Paid Media (PPV)
To send paid content (PPV), toggle PPV mode on, select preview media as a free teaser, then select up to 10 paid media items that fans pay to unlock. Set your PPV price to complete the setup.
Targeting Your Audience
Under Message Recipients, select one or more fan lists from the dropdown each list shows its member count. To exclude specific fans, use the Exclude Fans dropdown to select lists that should not receive the message.
Alternatively, check "Use Dynamic Filters" to auto-create targeted lists based on minimum spend, transaction date range, or engagement days.
The form shows your Estimated Recipients count and Estimated Delivery Time based on your selections.
Sending Limits
ChatBlue applies sending limits to protect delivery rates:
Maximum 100 recipients per blast
Approximately 1,000 conversations per day per number
Messages are sent with throttling (20 seconds per message) to avoid carrier blocks
Automatic batching with 2-minute pauses between every 10 messages
Untargeted large blasts are likely to get blocked by carriers. Always use targeted fan lists for best delivery rates.
